Information you provide
When you request insurance quotes or sign in, we collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address
- Driver's license information, driving history, vehicle details (for auto quotes)
- Property details, prior insurance history (for home/renters quotes)
- Health, household, and demographic data (for health and life quotes)
- Account credentials and authentication codes
Information from data partners
To prefill your quote and verify your information, we obtain reports from consumer reporting agencies and licensed data providers such as LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Verisk, and TransUnion. These reports may include vehicle registration data, driving records, claims history, and prior insurance information.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we automatically collect device information, IP address, browser type, referring URLs, pages viewed, and aggregated usage analytics.

3. When we share your information
We share your information only as described below:
- With the carrier you select. When you choose to apply for or bind a policy, we share the information needed to complete that quote or application with the selected insurance carrier or agency.
- With service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Services — hosting (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), SMS delivery (Twilio), analytics, and prefill data providers (LexisNexis, etc.).
- For legal reasons. When required to comply with law, court order, regulatory request, or to protect rights and safety.
- With your consent. Whenever you direct us to share information with a specific party.
We do not sell your contact information to multiple agents. Unlike traditional lead-aggregator comparison sites, Insuregear shares your information only with the single carrier you choose.
4. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access, correct, or delete your account by emailing privacy@insuregear.us
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP
- Disable cookies in your browser settings
- Exercise state-specific privacy rights (see Section 8)
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and measure ad effectiveness. You can control cookies through your browser. Disabling cookies may impact some features.
